ITexec 2023 - Crisis therapy

Quattrosoft 2023.05.25

The ITexec 2023 conference took place between 25-26.05.2023, where we participated in a round table discussion.

The title of the conference was.

Crisis is a vector from today to the future, a future we could not have imagined before the crisis.

According to those who have followed the development of information technology for a long time, the history of information technology is a history of crises. More recently, IT trends that bring about seismic changes are now quite simply and frankly labelled disruptive, i.e. disruptive and destructive. The new is not taking over from the old in a gentle evolutionary transition, but is ruthlessly destroying it. The immanent essence of IT is therefore a permanent crisis of constant renewal, which, as its decades of history have shown, is not insurmountable.

The round table discussion, entitled "Self-concept - Let's see clearly", touched on the main challenges that are testing corporate and institutional IT organisations, and on what to look out for if we want to realise as soon as possible that things are not going in the right direction.

Participants:

  • Péter Bacsek, LP Solutions
  • Laurent Bonherbe, Dunapack
  • Rudolf Bujanovic, Shiwaforce
  • Bálint Kelemen, Vodafone
  • Anita Nagy, Schönherz School Cooperative
  • András Tresch, Quattrosoft

The issues addressed in the discussion were the stone fields:

  1. What do you see as the key challenges that are testing companies' IT organisations today?
  2. When are there problems? Or is there always trouble? What are the indicators and signs to look out for, so that we can recognise in good time and beyond any doubt that we or our customers are in trouble and that something needs to be done?
  3. When recruiting student workers, what should companies look for, what do students look for first and foremost when they judge where they have been placed?
